    Okay I have really been struggling here. I have tried this controller on 2 separate machines now both running Windows 7 64bit. The controller worked great out of the box, driver installation and everything, but after playing for a couple hours it stopped
    responding, which is when I go into a constant unplugging the controller and plugging it back in kind of mode. Sometimes it works for 5 minutes, sometimes 5 seconds, no telling really, but it generally gets worse until I give up, and come back to it later,
    and enjoy a an hour or so of trouble free game play. I have tried everything driver and software wise, I have exhausted Google doing this. I've also seen others post similar experiences. The symptoms are identical on 2 separate machines, and this definitely
    seems like a hardware issue. My theory is it has something to do with how much power the controller draws, is there anyone out there that has some insight on this? Thanks.

    How to make my computer read a wired 360 controller?

    I have Windows 7, 64bit, and even though I read that Windows 7 doesnt need to install drivers due to Windows Play (or something like that), my roommate who owns the controller told me you have to anyway. So I went to the page on the xbox site and downloaded
    the win7 64bit driver, and it said it was already installed. But when I try to use the controller in Unity, my computer doesn't pick it up and it makes 3 low-sounding beeps when I plug the controller in

    So to understand the situation you are on Windows 7 and you cannot find the driver for the Xbox controller but a Logitech controller does work when wired, is that correct?

    If so, are you trying to use an Xbox 360 controller, and have you tried it wired as well?

    Here is an article on how to calibrate Xbox 360 controllers for Windows. You'll need to plug it into the PC using a USB cable:
