  1. XBOX 360 Wired Controller for Windows Mic Port Fault

    Hi,

I bought my first XBOX 360 controller for Windows and everything appeared to be fine until I bought a headset and noticed that there was interference when using voice communication over XBOX Live. At the time there was little I could do about it since it was
out of warranty. That particular controller died out just before Christmas.

I bought another last weekend and it suffered from the exact same issue. Therefore, I requested a replacement which I received this afternoon and once again I am left with the same predicament.

I have tested my headset (Turtle Beach XL1) with the original XBOX 360 Wireless Controller that came with the console and there is no interference whatsoever.

I called the XBOX Customer Support line the other day and I spoke to an advisor and he suggested that I put some alcohol on the connector as it may have something to do with static electricity.

By alcohol would he have been referring to lager/beer or spirits?

I'm beginning to think there maybe a manufacturing error, however, I'm not ruling out the possibility it may have something to do with static.

Any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated.

    :)

  2. Xbox 360 Controller for Windows not reassigning on Xbox 360

Yes I tried various ports and I also tried to connect in various orders such as Player 1 (P1) - Wired Xbox 360 Controller for Windows and Signed In, P2 = Wireless Xbox 360 Controller and Signed In but when connecting the third one for P3 - Wired Xbox 360
Controller for Windows it assigns as P1 and takes control away from the first assigned controller.

    Thanks for the Reply

Question about Xbox 360-PC Wireless Gaming Receiver

If you have a wired Xbox controller it will work. ( Note using a wireless controller and the play and charge kit will not work) Check out the link below fo downloads for the Xbox 360 Wired Controller For Windows.

    Is the tritton warhead compatible

The "mic" you're referring to is the boom mic that plugs into the headset.

The mic I'm referring to is the chat system that allows one to talk to other players. Normally, that's supported by a wired mic cable that goes from the 360 controller to other headsets. On all other 360 headsets, a cable is required from the base of the
360 controller to the headset for chat. Even the wireless Astro A50 has a mic cable port to go to the 360 controller.

On the Tritton Warhead, that's all done wirelessly, same as the Microsoft Wireless Mic for 360 works. Tritton integrated the wireless mic into the headset base unit so that the headset can be completely wireless - no wired mic cable going to the controller.

It's the wired mic cable that the Tritton Warhead lacks that is the problem. There will be no way for the Warhead's base unit to sync its wireless mic with the Xbox One.

If all you want to do is use the Warhead as a wireless headset without a mic, it will be fine. If you want mic support, it won't.

Can I use Original Xbox360 controller on pc (the controller of the xbox360)?

If the Xbox 360 controller is a wired controller, then the controller can be used on the PC, just plug it in the USB port, and it should recognize it and let you use it. If it is a wireless Xbox 360 controller, then you will need the Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows to connect the controller to your PC.

Xbox 360 Controller for Windows not reassigning on Xbox 360

    Hey there .

Have you tried plugging the controllers into different USB ports on your Xbox 360 S to see if there is any change in connection? They shouldn't both be connecting to Play 1, be sure they're signed into different profiles when connecting to Xbox Live.

Xbox OnePC Controler unusable after 1 and a half year! Programed inbuild obsolenscense

Saying "my 360 controller has never broken" isn't even relevant to the OP's post, as he's talking about Xbox One controllers.
Are you sure because unless I've missed it, Microsoft don't release their own Xbox One wired controller. If it is a third party model then he's complaining to the wrong company. So it's fair to assume a wired controller on the Xbox forum would be an official
    Xbox 360 wired controller.

He could be talking about a USB cable into a Xbox One controller but if the fault is with the controller's USB port then taping it together would only cause more damage.
