Xbox 360 wired controller connected but not working on Windows 10

I've searched all the internet for a solution, but didn't find. I've just bought a usb-wire for my xbox 360 controller to play on my notebook (Windows 10), so I plug it, the device appears on the system, its fully updated, but when I try to turn the controller
on those 4 green lights keeps blinking, like it's not connecting. I've already unninstaleld and reinstalled the device several times, but nothing happens.

Still, there's this message on the events section (which I couldn't find anything related to solving the issue):

xbox 360 controller is "working properly" but fails to sync

Wired xbox 360 controller is "working properly" on windows 10, but fails to sync, all 4 lights on the controller keep blinking. any assistance would be appreciated.

Xbox360 controller keyboard software needed for windows 10.

Xbox 360 controller and chat pad support in windows 10 and Xbox app for win 10. Driver for keyboard, and mouse pointer from game pad to work in windows 10. Include Wired and Wireless drivers. Documentation, Software on / off Power switch super helpful. Check
box to turn on / off keyboard and mouse emulation.

I would like to use Windows 10 and the Xbox App to play games on the big screen TV. I have a home theater PC connected to the tv.

The Xbox 360 controller works on PC with Xbox App. The keyboard and headphones do not.

It would be most useful to have full windows support for the Xbox 360 controller keyboard.

I could browse the internet using 360 keyboard and Cortana with headset microphone.

I would like to type in Wordpad, and Edge web browser.

Full mouse and key board support.

Sell 360 pc controller dongle again, or verify if the new dongle stick works with 360 controller keyboard.

Support wired and wireless again in Windows 10.

Hello there.

Xbox 360 wireless controllers only work on PC with the Xbox 360 Wireless PC adapter, they don't work via they Play & Charge cable. Even when you use the cable with an Xbox 360, the controller still uses the Wireless to function and the cable simply provides
power.

If you'd like to use a 360 pad with a PC, you either need a wired one, or you'll need one of these:

Xbox 360 Wireless PC adapter.

Alternatively, you can use an Xbox One controller. With those, you can connect as you are with a USB cable, or you can connect via Bluetooth (If you have one of the newer controllers which have a rough texture on the back of the hand grips) or with an Xbox
One Wireless PC adapter.

Are you sure the Xbox 360 is a wired Xbox 360 controller, and not connected by a separate cable like the play and charge cable? If it is the play and charge cable, it will not work on Windows 10, as it only charges the batteries on a PC. If it is a actual
wired controller, then Windows 10 should detect and then download the drivers if needed.

Hi,

Both wired and wireless Xbox 360 controllers work on Windows 10. Wired is just plug and play while wireless controllers need a receiver. I know 360 controllers work as I've used them on my own gaming PC running the latest version of Win 10.

Im having the same problem, where my wired xbox 360 controller which works with windows 10 is not being read by world war z, anyone found a solution? I don't think you can update a wired xbox 360 controller. Works fine with all other windows 10 games except

From what I've read, you are trying to connect your Xbox 360 controller to windows 10?

Here are the steps for that for connecting it:

1. Plug the Xbox 360 wired controller into any USB 2.0 or 3.0 port on the computer.

2. Windows 10 will automatically install drivers for your controller. Once you see the pop-up notification that the drivers have been installed, you can use your controller.

3. Open a game or the Xbox app and test your controller by pressing a button, pulling a trigger, or moving a stick on the controller.

Notes:

If your Xbox 360 wired controller is not detected by your PC, try plugging it into a different USB port, and then test it again.
If your controller still does not work, check that Windows 10 is fully updated. Install any updates and then try again.
Refer to your game documentation for information about how to configure the Xbox 360 controller for a specific game.
Drivers for Xbox controllers are included with Windows 10, so you won't have to download or install software othr than Windows 10 updates.
