    Hey all.

I am running a black Xbox 360 slim (250gB version). I have it on a wired connection into a Cisco wireless router, from an Xfinity Cable Modem. I pay for quick internet and latest Speedtest.net rates 37Mbps download and 23 Mbps upload pretty consistently.
Here is the issue: I have a Turtle Beach X41 headset running on a SPDIF (optical) cable from the audio out SPDIF of the Xbox.

When playing Halo: Reach, we usually have 3-4 friends in an Xbox live party (we rarely use Game chat).

In matchmaking, I lose the ability to hear my party during the time right after the game fills the match with players. I notice that it is usually when the screen is a black background and the teams are shown in RED and BLUE backgrounds. I have been told
that I can be heard by others.

I am wondering if anyone else has run into this? I reset the system (formatted HDD and did a Inital Settings reset.

It is a small thing....but I was just curious if it happens to others..

    :)

Xbox One Headset Adapter Game Audio

Posted this in the accessory category, but no one answered so...

I recently bought an Elgato HD60 to record gameplay, but in order to record party AND game audio (bring back party chat through game audio) I need to use the game audio through the headset adapter. The problem is the game audio CONSTANTLY cuts in and out
and is VERY low quality. I've tried resetting my Xbox, unplugging adapter, etc. nothing works. On the brightside the chat audio has worked great. Is my adapter defected? Please answer!

BTW using Turtle Beaches XP400 with the Xbox One Headset Adapter

xbox one, onkyo 515 receiver and Turtle Beach x41

I'd put the optical from the Xbox direct, and go to settings and choose the relevant one, and you can chat still via the kinect, and whoever your in a party with their voice will still come through your turtlebeach

    Hey there Packaged!

What you're experiencing with the headset/party chat is a bit weird. Have you tried to recreate this issue with other headsets to narrow it down some more as to what could possibly be causing it?

Also if you haven't already, I would suggest trying these steps:

    • Clear your cache three times.
    • Restart your console.
    • Try playing the Halo Reach again with your friends with the same set up.
Let us know how it goes and if anymore assistance is needed! XBox 360 wired connection, using Turtle Beach X41, slight Party audio cut out issue in Halo ... :)

my xbox 360 reboots itself whenever i change channel, how can i stop this?

Modifying your hardware is risky and you could damage your cables, console or both.

This is the audio dongle for the original xbox 360. Your console will detect this
as an audio only device and will not try to use it as a video output option which is what is causing your problem. I have the exact same setup. The original model Xbox 360 with Turtle Beach X41's. I use HDMI for my TV and the optical connection from the audio
    dongle to my X41s.

This better be the last problem i have

Do you use a Headset with your Xbox? If you have a Turtle Beach Headset, the receiver that comes with the X31 or X41 for example, will cause wireless interference between your xbox and your router. If you have to start the download over and over to get it
to download it is most likely wireless interference. Have you tried a wired connection to see if that works? That will also cause your issues with getting disconnected from parties most likely.

XBOX One Chat Adapter & Turtle Beach Issue

Here's my weirdness chronologically with the Turtle Beach X41:

XB1 plugged into the X41 base using optical, and X41 headset plugged into the controller via the adapter. Adapter/controller is updated and audio set to 5.1/DTS.

Issue # 1: I got no sound from my X41 base. The volume controls on my X41 base and headset did nothing. The resolution is noted below.

Issue # 2: When I joined a party, I only heard chat audio from the controller to the X41 headset - there was no game/menu audio and issue # 1 continued. The volume control on the wire between headset and controller worked though, which makes sense since
only chat audio was coming from the controller and nothing from the X41 base. Additionally the game chat balance (left buttons on adapter) worked OPPOSITE to what they should!! Pressing the controller increased the chat audio and lowered the game audio!!
When I went into Titanfall, the chat balance buttons flipped and started working correctly - Pressing the controller increased the game audio and lowered the chat audio. Bizarre!!

Resolution: I was able to solve the no audio issue by changing my audio output to Stereo on the XB1. I now get game audio and chat through the X41 headset, and can control the audio with all volume controls on my X41.

It is a horrible kluge. The sound is terrible and doesn't work correctly as it did on the 360. Now if I want to watch a Blu-ray in DTS, I have to change the audio settings, so there's this back-and-forth all the time. I probably won't spend a lot on headsets
again, I can tell you that much!!
