Xbox 360 wiped out

Sorry to hear it. What type and size of storage device do you have connected?

To get your content back turn on the console and go to Social>Sign In/Out>Download Profile to redownload your gamertag.

From there you can head to Settings>Account>Download History to redownload any digital content associated with the tag.

Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done for the game saves as those are unique and not stored unless you saved them on the Cloud. (a choice you need to make when saving the games).

It sounds like you may have a few different problems.

First delete your system cache like RoMoGAMER suggested. Then delete your system updates so you can download them properly.

To delete your system updates go to Settings > System settings > Storage, then highlight your storage device (but don't go into it) While highlighting your storage device, press: LB,RB,X,LB,RB,X

After you try to connect online again, it should try to re-download everything. After the updates you should be able to recover your gamertag.

I would suggest using a USB flash drive to save your games to in case this happens again. It is not normal for your hard drive to wipe like it did.

This did not work either. This is getting really frustrating. I have tried the contact us tab that was suggested and can't get ahold of anybody. I am still getting the same update failed notice. Is this something that is covered by the warranty so they can
just send me a new one or something? This is absolutely stupid. Makes me not want want to use Xbox anymore.

My Xbox is the 4gb. It doesn't have a hard drive. And I can't download any updates it gets about 3/4 of the way and says it failed.
