Xbox 360 will turn on, won't do anything else though

Ok so hopefully someone can help me. I recently finished moving and went to plug my xbox in and it's doing all kinds of strange things. For a while it wouldn't respond to me pressing the power button at all, but for the most part, it turns on and the center
light on the console is green but it won't produce any signal and won't connect with any controllers. t's like it just turns on and becomes a brick. I know it's not a power issue because it will turn on and I would think it'd be some kind of software update
issue because I was just playing it no more than two weeks ago. My best guess is that maybe it got jostled in the move but I store it in a padded suitcase so it's pretty well protected. Anyway, all responses are appreciated. TIA!

Xbox Controller won't do anything on Xbox.

When I turn on my Xbox, everything is perfectly fine. But when I turn on my controller, it won't do actions on it and when I try to do voice commands, it won't do anything.

Summary: My controller won't do anything and won't display when turned on.

my son's Xbox is making some wierd noises. It won't let him do anything it turns on but when he clicks sign in it's does nothing. He's held the button for 10 seconds and that's not helped. Anything else I can do?

 

ya i just got the same issue just moved my x box upstairs and played then back down and it does the same thing as yours green light in middle on tray opens no wide green light and controllers wont sync. let me know if you got an answer

please disconnect all cables and re connect them, be sure to check if every thing is firmly connected.

Als remove and reinstert the hard drive like mentioned here:
support.xbox.com/.../add-remove-hard-drive

that was it... unbelievable... i was about to go buy a new one and the hard drive was just lose?! i never even knew that that's where the hard drive is! thanks a ton!

i tried removing hard drive and all cables but i still have the same problem also I fired up my old x box that was working fine and connected it to the internet and it is doing the same thing. inner green light tray opens and closes that's it.
