Xbox 360 will not connect to WiFi network; all other devices do.

Hi, I've read through a lot of the forums and I've tried all the suggested troubleshooting tips, however, I cannot get my Xbox 360 to connect to the wireless network. All other devices in the house connect dine, and I even brought my console to a friends
    house and it connected right away to his network. When I enter the network password and run a connection test I get a red x between 360 and network. Status report says: w: 0000-0000 x: 8000-0011 y: 0000-0000 z: 0000-0000 id ffff-ffff l: 0015-10F1 q: 8007-0435
t: wireless a: 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0 g: 0.0.0.0 d: 0.0.0.0, 0.0.0.0 n: network name s: wpa2 c: 0 as I said, I've reset the modem and router, restored my 360 network settings to factory default, cleared my system cache, etc. It connects fine at my friends on his
WiFi so its not the systems WiFi receiver... I'm stumped.

    :)

My son is having the same dudficulty. Its driving me insane! The xbox will not connect to wifi. It sees the network. Lets me enter the pass. Will not connect. He can not log in to play his games. We have unplugged everything, re plugged, shut down,
restarted etc. All other wifi devices are working just fine.

    Greetings Skizzmnizz!

Appreciate if you can post up the make and model of your wireless router and your modem as well (if this is not a single device).

Is your console communicating directly with your wireless router, or do you use an Access Point (AP) in the route between your console and router?

    TIA!

You shouldn't have any troubles connecting your console to the Linksys WRT 120N.

Let's try with a few steps and see where it takes you.

First of all, I suggest that you visit Linksys website, to make sure your router is up-to-date with the latest version of firmware. If a more recent version is available than the one already installed on your router, update and make sure you reset
    your router afterwards.

Don't use Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS). This feature is often enabled when, or if, you use a quick setup guide, to configure your router's wireless settings. I recommend this feature to be turned off/disabled.

Make your own choice of name for your wireless network (SSID). Only use a single word for this name and no space in between words.

    Correct: MyWiFi or My_WiFi

    Wrong: My WiFi

Select WPA2-PSK with AES encryption as the method to secure your WLAN.

Choose a password (passphrase) for your WLAN. Whatever you choose for your password, remember, it is case sensetive.

Manually change your router's wireless channel to a non-overlapping channel (1, 6, or 11). Feel free to experiment between these three.

Make sure UPnP is ticked enable.

Don't forget to Save/Apply your configuration and reboot your router.

Try connect your console to your wireless network.

Post back and let us know how that goes.

So it turns out my gfs mom blocked my console manually to spite us. Lol. Thanks for the help I actually wouldn't have found the issue if I hadn't gone in to try that.
