xbox 360 will not boot up to dashboard - freeze!!

Hi all,

Any help would be appreciated.

Every time I reboot the xbox the screen freezes part way through the boot and dosnt load the dashboard.

Is there a way to reset?

I managed to get it to load to the dashboard on one occasion and cleared the cache.

Problem seems to stem after downloading the fre Gears of War last night.

I have tried an online service request but the website dosnt appear to be excepting any repairs, totally pants!

My XBOX Dashboard will not load

Try removing the HD. Does the console boot without the HD ? Try the troubleshooter here:

If after all this your console still won't load the dashboard, contact XBox support.

Xbox One instability

I've had way more xbox 360 crashes than xone, also different machines so you know. Difference now is my xbox doesn't have to be restarted, it just goes to dashboard which isn't an issue.

Xbox 360 crashes it completely locks up and freezes until i restart.

 

Managed to get onto dashboard and formatted hard drive but still no change, was working fine until I switched off and rebooted to test it.... frustrated!!!

 

Will it boot up without the hard drive ?

 

It did boot up briefly this morning to the dashboard and then crashed again. Not been able to get as far as the dashboard since.

Have now managed to get it in for a service using the online service centre.... the web site is now back up and running. Microsoft certainly need to get their house in order!!!!

 

Did you try starting it without the hard drive attached ?

Sometimes if the hdd is faulty the console wont boot up properly so I could be an issue with the hdd & not the console.

 

yes, have tried removing the HDD, tried new HDMI leads (read online their is sometimes an issue regarding handshaking), checked all leads and power supply green light...

It all started after downloading updates and Gears of War from xbox live - hence the route taken with hard drive.
