    Xbox 360 w/ Kinect Power Supply


    Anyone, please help. We got our console last march 21 at a mall in the philippines. our child accidentally plugged it to 220v. Initially, they saw the console and tv on but the console quickly died. When we checked, the power supply light won't turn on
    anymore. Does this mean the console is damaged too? What do we do? We got ours after 5yeats of praying and saving hard as they really like to have one. Please help.

    Need Help

    Thank you taking time to read this. A friend gave me oringinal Xbox 360 (white) along w Kinect. But it doesn't fit into console. I've researched and found I need a different power supply n USB. Problem is I can't find one. Tried Game Stop, eBay etc. Does anyone know where I can buy one?

    Power supply brick makes strange noises

    I´ve been able to use the power supply of a friends console (he´s got the 175 W power supply) and it worked just fine so no strange noises occured but i am not able to test my power supply on any other 360 console since all my friends in the area have got
    either the new slim or an even older version with a different power supply e.g. the 175 W etc.

    Kinect and 2008 white hdmi console

    The retail stand-alone Kinect package includes a power supply for Kinect. It's attached to the Kinect's power cable in the box.



    Buy a retail package. People reselling the Kinect bundled with the 360 on eBay don't sell it with the power supply. The Kinect that comes with a 360 S doesn't come with one.

    It is a custom shaped USB 3.0 port coupled with a power port.

    "Though the port for the Kinect on Xbox One is proprietary, this is no different from the original Kinect. The port on the 360 slim supplied both power (Kinect’s power requirements are greater than what a standard USB port can supply) and a USB 2.0 connection.
    For Kinect 2.0, it’s power + USB 3.0."

    You are using the Kinect for a standard 360 not a Slim right?

    If it´s a Slim you do not need to use a power supply for the Kinect.

    If it´s not the Slim you just get a official Kinect power supply and it should work.
