    XBOX 360 USB Thumbdrive


    Hi! Im planning to get a 64GB thumbdrive for use on both my XBOX 360 and my schoolwork. If I use the "customise" option when formatting/setting up the hard drive for my XBOX and set aside only 32GB for the xbox, can i still use the thumbdrive on my pc?

    Hey SBS2803M,

    If you create the 32GB partition on your memory pen and make sure its in the FAT32 format - the Xbox 360 will recognise it when you plug it in and use the “customise” option.

    It will only use the 32GB partition you created, leaving you with the other 32GB for schoolwork.

    What exactly are you trying to do with your thumbdrive?

    The mediaplayer app works with USB 2.0 thumbdrives and recognizes them, as soon as there are some media files on it.

    To store gamedata on an usb drive it has to be an USB 3.0 drive and has to be formatted by the xbox to be accessible by your One.
