    Xbox 360 Update Failed


    Hello, I am trying to update my Xbox 360. I connected Wi-Fi to it via Ethernet cable. Then I downloaded the latest update available in the internet. Then I put the update file to my USB. Then I connected my USB to Xbox 360. I started the update, and this is what it says.:

    "Update FailedCan't download the update. To test your connection, open System Settings and select Network Settings, Test Xbox Live ConnectionIf the problem persists, go to www.xbox.com/supportStatus Code:40A3 - 4497 - 1380 - 0700 - C000 - 000E"
    Edit: I can do the update, but it goes to about 80%, then it says :

    "Can't process the update. If the problem persists, go to www.xbox.com/support.

    Mandatory xbox 360 update made my console useless

    It could be that the hard drive is failing. The Xbox is unable to read the drive, thinks that it needs an update but the update will fail because the drive itself is failing. Your 360 might be dead basically.

    Xbox 360 updatedownload, constant fails

    Often in the older 360 consoles with the built in memory unit, this issue will occur.

    When the memory unit fails, the Xbox sees that there's an update available since it can't see the update that was on the storage device. When the Xbox tries to download/install the update, the update can't install because of the failed storage device.

    Does your Xbox 360 have the memory unit and/or the hard drive?
