Xbox 360 - Unable to download GwG-game despite having a 14-day gold subscription

I recently ran into a very odd problem:

My gold subscription ended and I bought a Xbox One in a time period of having no active

gold membership. Then I redeemed my 14-day-membership from the console bundle I purchased

and was, and still am, able to play multiplayer games on Xbox 360 AND One, as well as downloading

the 'Games with Gold' games for the month of February on Xbox One, HOWEVER, I am not able to download 'Gears of War 2'for 360,

because Xbox 360 suddenly thinks that I don't have a membership and suggests a purchase. When I then inspect

my status in 'My account', it shows me having a free membership. Any suggestions how I may download the game

are appreciated.

Dead Space 2 not actually free

What type of subscription is it? A full gold subscription or a trial (48 hour, 7 day, or 14 day)?

Trial subscriptions will allow you to download the One games for free since they still require a gold subscription to keep playing, but you cannot download the 360 games since they do not.

Can't Access GWG I've Downloaded

Hello, my xbox live gold account is set to renew automatically tomorrow on 07/06, but I am currently unable to access any GWG Titles I've downloaded, despite still being able to enjoy other services from having a gold account. Please advise.

You need a full gold membership in order to access games with gold.

You can't do it with xbox live trials.

If you're sharing your One with anyone who does have a gold subscription, that may be why you're able to download those games. But yes, as Daft said, you need a full gold subscription. Trials don't change your account status to gold.

And why am I still able to Download the Games with Gold games on the Xbox One? It is the same profile after all.

I find it very strange that trials don't count, because I got a couple of them laying around and they would add up to quite a bit. Anyways, thanks for the answers.

If subscription expires you have not access to this games.

Also if you have donwloaded these games you don't have a "license" because you must buy them or must have an active Game Pass subscriptions.

for me, not with 360 Games on GwG.

all that games i had on 360 downloaded with GwG worked on 360 without GwG and on One without it. Only ONE Games needed Gold to work.

Maybe it changed.
