    Hello,

    I started ti face a wierd issue. My XBOX 360 console shutsdown as soon as I place a disc in the drive. If the disc is already in the drive and if we switch on the system, the system starts for a second to show the XBOX logo animation and then turns off immediately.
    I have tried removing storage, power off/unplug and then power on etc but it didnt work. Any advices please?

    Does this happen with any disc that you put into the drive or just one particular disc? If it happens with any disc, it's possible the drive has become faulty as they do wear out over time. You could try some compressed air to blow out any dust that may
    of accumulated inside but if that doesn't work, it's prolly the drive itself. XBOX 360's will definitely be out of warranty so you would need to find an outside source to have the drive replaced for you.

    I have the same issue. Only started happening 2 days ago. I have changed power supply cable - as it was suggested in previous Microsoft advice, still does not work. In fact every so often Xbox turns itself off on powerup.

    I will try cleaning it. The problem though is that if I start XBOX without disc and insert the disc when its up, it recognises the disc. I can go and start the game, as soon as I select all the profiles and resume the previous game after loading it, it
    crash reboots and shows the same behaviour as I explained above.

    Nope its not overheating. It doesnt even start to user screen at the first place
