    Xbox 360 transfer cable

Hi there!. Recently, all my pc's music got wiped by accident. (Let's just say I'm not good with Windows Media Player.) I have all my music on my xbox 360 slim's hard drive and was wondering if I could copy and paste it back into my pc's music library
via a hard drive transfer cable. (Btw, I was hoping to get one from a third party manufacturer because they're cheaper. Would that work, or do I need to get the one Microsoft makes?) Any answers would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

    :)

The Xbox data transfer cable is only meant to transfer data between Xbox hard drives. Also, 3rd party cables can cause problems with reformatting the hard drive so you lose everything, including hard drive space sometimes.

Yeah the hard drive is set for the Xbox 360 only and won't be recognized by the PC without a reformat.
