Xbox 360 to Xbox One: Should I Upgrade Just to Play a Game?

I've had my 360 for about ten years now and it's been great. Recently, I got hooked on Dragon Age and discovered that although I was able to purchase the disc version of DA: Inquisition, two major DLCs for the game are available only for Xbox One. I was
also told that EA is developing the fourth installment of the game and obviously it will only be available for One. My dilemma is this: Do I play through the game on 360, forget about the DLCs, and just worry about the new game when it comes out, or do I buy
a One console now? It's a shame that 360 is outdated because I really have enjoyed it and never had a problem with it. In my research, I see that the One X is 4K, which I don't need--I don't have a 4K TV and have no plans on buying one anytime soon. Another
really petty thing that's deterring me from buying a new console is that the One S, which I would be more inclined to purchase because it's less expensive than the X, is that it only comes in white (stupid, I know, but black electronics are much easier to
    care for).

Another issue I worry about that's more important than the color of the console is compatibility. If I've downloaded games from the Xbox store onto my 360 console will I be able to play them on One? In other words, are they stored in my account and I can
redownload them to the new console, or will I have to purchase them all over again? I would keep my 360 anyway to play games that I have on disc, but I'm curious about games I've downloaded. Also, does my subscription carry over to the new console?

Thank you all for any help and advice you can offer.

    :)

If you do intend to make the switch, you definitely want to male sure you're game saves are on the cloud if they aren't already. That is the only way to move them to the One.

Also since you mentioned the Games with Gold games, if you haven't been already, you can go ahead and get the One games so they will be ready for you on the One as well.

You must understand that your data is stored to both your hard drive and the cloud. Xbox Live keeps your important data in sync so you don't lose anything when you use a friend or family member's console, or even when you switch to a new console.

Saved games are automatically stored in the cloud while you're connected to Xbox Live. You don't have to select cloud storage. If you sign in to a different Xbox One console, your saves are available from that console when you sign in with your Xbox
    profile.

As you can see there are many advantages to this feature.

It's great to hear you considering purchasing an Xbox One. Yes, all purchases you have made using your account are yours forever and remain on your account ready to download and play as many times as you want. However, not all 360 games are backwards compatibile
and therefore playable on Xbox One. I have provided the link below which lists all the games that will be in your ready to install folder and ready to play on Xbox One.

Any games you own digitally that are backwards compatible will show as ready to install under your Games and Apps on the One. So you would just redownload them there. When you start to play a game it will sync up with your game save on the cloud.

As far as the One Games with Gold games, you can purchase them from the 360 console or the website and it will add them to your account so they'll be ready for you install on the new console .

So the games themselves are on the hard drive, but my game saves are on the Cloud? When I switch to the new console, because I purchased the games by downloading them, if they are backward compatible I will be able to download them again, correct? I'm going
to spend some time today making sure what I need to save to the cloud is there. I'm also not planning on getting rid of the 360 just in case.

You know, this was so much easier ten years ago, LOL!
