    Xbox 360 to Xbox One Purchase Options


    Hi,

    I have the Xbox 360 Call of Duty AW DVD and recently purchased a Xbox One. with the season pass, can I get the Xbox One version of CoD or do I need to re-purchase. I know the upgrade offer expired in March but I'm not sure if the season pass applies for
    upgrades anytime.

    Hi, things work very strangely when it comes to backwards compatible titles and payment options added on an Xbox One, for whatever reason you can't use a payment option to purchase these games if you added it on an Xbox One, you have to add the payment option
    on an Xbox 360..........funky huh

    I added a payment option to my account at account.microsoft.com or on my Xbox One console, but I don't see the payment option when I try to purchase.

    Xbox 360 store on Xbox One?

    Not sure if anyone else noticed, but all the backward compatibility games are now on the Xbox One Store, but not available for purchase yet. (Not sure if it was like this before).

    I looked up multiple Xbox 360 titles and they all came up, including their DLC. The only option for purchase is "Bundle" and when you click it, it just gives you a black screen. All they need to do now is categorize it into an Xbox 360 section, and give us the option to purchase it.

    Hi,

    As of this resource:
    www.callofduty.com/.../free-upgrade     the offer indeed expired on March 31st of this year.

    But you will know for sure when you'll start up your Xbox One and head for the Store. Find the Season Pass, if it says "Buy now" then you will know you're not eligible for an upgrade.

    You could have a good chance of eligibility since maybe the purchase moment counts for getting the dual platform license. This information is not really clear from the Call of Duty website.

    You'll be able to purchase Xbox One games for sure, it's the 360 games you'll have problems purchasing. Do you know anyone who has a 360 at all ? you could maybe add your account to that 360, add your card as a payment option, remove your account from the
    360, then you'll be able to purchase xbox 360 games on your Xbox One.

    It's a weird situation but as it states on the link in my previous post, if you're not seeing a payment option then you need to add the payment option on a 360.

    Unfortunately to purchase Xbox 360 games on your Xbox one you need to have a payment option associated with your account and you should then hopefully be able to use your account credit.

    • If a game is free, you’re still required to “purchase” it – you just won’t be charged anything for it.
    • The Xbox 360 Marketplace and the Xbox One Store websites use different architecture, so if you have credit but no payment option associated with your account, you won’t be able to use the credit to purchase Xbox 360 titles. You will have to add a payment
      option or purchase the title using an Xbox 360 console.
