Xbox 360 to Xbox One Data Transfer Inquiry

Hello Xbox,

I was just wondering, can a person transfer their saved game data from their Xbox 360 Slim hard drive to their Xbox One using a Xbox 360 Hard Drive Data Transfer Cable? I want to play Fallout: New Vegas on the Xbox One with my old saved game rather than
starting over again. I can't upload to the cloud because my Slim go the red ring and then I disassembled it and haven't put it back to together since. Any help on this issue would be appreciated.

Hi there Blastem,

The 360 hard drive transfer cable is just that, it transfers data from one 360 hard drive to another. At this time the only way to transfer 360 data to an Xbox One is through the cloud so you will need to find a friend that has a 360 that you can borrow
to upload your game saves to the cloud.

Once you have a 360 connected to Live, you can follow the steps noted by JhonSnow777 to get the files onto the cloud for you to access on an Xbox One.

How to Transfer Xbox 360 Saves to Xbox One

On the Xbox 360 dashboard, scroll all the way to Settings.
Select System.
Select Storage.
Select hard drive.
Select Games and Apps.
Choose a game with data you'd like to copy.
Select Copy.
Select Cloud Saved Games. Your files will now begin uploading to the cloud.

Currently the cloud is the only way to transfer saves from the 360 to the One. The data transfer cable is only meant to transfer data between 360 hard drives.

It looks like you CAN bring your save data to the XB1.
