    Xbox 360 to Original Xbox Compatibility Error


    Hi everyone, recently I have been really wanting to play Battlefront II on my 360, when I put the disk in my 360 a message popped up: Game error, the game couldn't start. Try downloading the game again. And then it gave me a website to visit. So Itried to
    re download it, but it doesn't even have any files, what should i do?

    You may be facing this error:
    support.xbox.com/.../error-code-5829

    Usually, this error occurs to people who use a hard drive that is not an official Xbox hard drive.

    This may come in the form of a third-party hard drive (identical to brands/models that MS uses with their official hardware) with flashed firmware to make it run on the Xbox 360. While it may work for Xbox 360 game installs and saves, it will not work at
    all for original Xbox titles for backward compatibility due to a missing partition that handles original Xbox emulation.

    That is a game for the original Xbox, not the Xbox 360. The bundle disc is not compatible with the Xbox 360. You will need an original Xbox to play it.

    Mercenaries is a Xbox Original game, I'm not sure if it can be played on the Xbox 360, some xbox original games are no longer compatible with Xbox 360 backward compatibility.
