    Xbox 360 through Xbox One (Picture, No Sound)


    Turned on X1, hooked 360 to it via HDMI to HDMI IN on X1.

    Turned on 360, used one guide, selected HDMI.

    Able to see 360 dashboard, and navigate, however there is no sound playing in my X1 headphones.

    There is sound when I back out of oneguide, and do anything else on X1.

    (I have MS X1 headphones, no 360 headphones hence the reason why hooking it to X1 is practical.)

    Xbox one is muted!

    If headset isnt plugged in sound comes through tv, and mic is turtle beach xone And also tryed my astro a40 on there, nothing no sound, about the muted on top right next to battery has a picture of microphone when a / through it i went on my other xbox
    one and tryed both mics and they work on that xbox one?but no this one please help!

    I HAVE XBOX ONE AND CANT WATCH LIVE TV THROUGH THE XBOX ONE NO PICTURE SOUND OR NOTHING.THEY SENT ME A REPLACEMENT AND THE SAME THING HAPPENS I HAVE A DIRECTV GENIE BOX AND THE XBOX ONE ALSO DETECTS A SIGNAL FROM DIRECTV BOX BUT WONT DO ANYTHING

    Just to clarify, are you trying to get sound via the Xbox One controller's headphone port?

    I have the same setup as you (X360 hooked into X1 via HDMI-in) and I get all Xbox 360 sounds going into my headphones (when connected to X1 controller).

    How are your audio settings configured for both your Xbox One and Xbox 360?

    The 360 and One use different gamer pictures.

    On Xbox.com, Xbox 360, Windows Phone and Windows 8, everyone sees your 360 picture.

    On Xbox One and in Xbox One SmartGlass they see your Xbox One picture (or a very small version of your 360 picture if you do not change after the transition). On Xbox One there are currently only the default images that were pre-loaded on the system, as
    far as I am aware.

    If the picture you are referring to is the silver horse on black background, it is still visible everywhere except on the One.

    Audio set up issues

    I’m very happy with mine too, however, when I use the sound bar for pass through and select arc I get no sound or picture and have to run it through the hdmi option. If I connect the Xbox to the tv hdmi 2 and then the sound bar to hdmi 3(arc) I get picture
    with no sound despite all settings suggesting that it should work. If I use an in built app on the tv and watch it through arc it works perfectly. All mildly frustrating.

    I could not even get any picture or sound through the Youview > XBox One. I just simply plugged the YouView HDMI into the XBox One and ran setup but got nothing.
