    xbox 360 - System update failed


    Hi there,

    I have a xbox 360, built 2006. I inserted a new game, and that started a system update, which failed due to dirty disc. I removed the disc, cleaned it, and loaded it again, but now I just get a message that the update failed, no error code.

    I tried to install the latest system update, but it loads neither from USB (formatted to FAT32) nor from disc.

    Deleting the latest update by keeping the connect button pushed while turning the xbox on also failed. No change, just the message that the update failed ("Aktualisierung fehlgeschlagen").

    Can someone help me out of this? That would be great...

    xbox 360 - System update failed

    Sorry to hear it. If you let us know the error code that you receive when trying to update we might be able to help but if the console ends up in need of a repair nothing will be able to be done as the older FAT consoles are no longer being serviced.
