    Xbox 360 Suddenly Won't Connect to Xbox Live


    Within the past week, my Xbox 360 has suddenly stopped being able to connect to Xbox Live. I have a Wired Connection to an AT&T Uverse 3801HGV modem, and for years it has worked without incident. Now out of nowhere I am getting a "Live Connection Error."
    I have tried going through the troubleshooting steps provided on the website and have spent time with chat support on both the Xbox and Uverse end, so far to no avail. Any thoughts or suggestions are most welcome; this is becoming a very discouraging and
    aggravating issue. Many thanks in advance.

    There are some many bugs in the new update, first the connectivity whith xbox live because connect to xbox live and suddenly for no apparent reason disconnects, second the adapter wlan in the xbox 360 slim , the multiplayer in some games and stability

    I am disabled and only have hulu and netflix to watch. Can someone please answer us! I see I got my yearly bill in my email.

    I'm having the same problem. I've been using the same Xbox 360 E/router/gateway to AT&T Uverse for months without problems then yesterday I turn on my console and get error code 8015190E trying to log in. I do some basic network troubleshooting on my end
    (been doing it for 18 years), performed a "test Xbox Live Connection" and rebooted both my router and gateway. My results were are follows...

    Network: Connected

    Internet: Connected

    Xbox Live: Failed

    Services: Up

    Xbox stores: Up

    Accounts: Up

    Matchmaking: Up

    I cleared my system cache and restored factory defaults on my network settings. When none of that worked, I got on xbox.com on my laptop and started the troubleshooting process using their tutorials. Tried to tracert from both my console and my laptop
    and got the same results. Made it to 104.44.8.126 (be-62-0.ibr01.dfw05.ntwk.msn.net on the 7th hop and then timed out with no response after the 15th hop @ 104.44.8.239 (ae74-0.co2-96c-1b.ntwk.msn.net).

    Finally after none of their steps fixed my problem, I contacted xbox live chat for help and proceeded to get the most basically trained script readers I have dealt with in a very long time.

    Tech #1 Rowena P.

    Check my xbox live connection

    Restore factory defaults

    I set a static IP for my xbox (despite automatic DNS working flawlessly for months)

    I opened 7 ports in port forwarding (despite the fact that uPnP is on and has been working flawlessly for months)

    I tried to explain that the tracert stops responding inside the msn.net domain and that the problem was not within my console or router/gateway.

    I was then told that I needed to contact my ISP and have them open ports for me in my router. (SMH)

    ended chat, I obviously wasn't going to get any usable help from this person.

    Tech #2 Eden

    Looked over the transcript for the previous session and then had me check my xbox live connection.

    Had me clear my default network settings

    Clear cache 5 times (seriously, she told me to clear the cache 5 times)

    shut down and DC my Xbox for 2 min.

    Power on and received the same 8015190E error code.

    Despite my better judgement, I follow instructions to delete my profile and reboot my console.

    Now I can't connect to xbox live or play offline, because my profile is gone and can't be downloaded.

    Tech asks if I have another profile to try. I tell them I only have one profile.

    Tech asks if I have a USB HD to download my profile onto. I dig around and find a USB thumb drive.

    I tell her I have one, but a small emergency has occured and I will BRB.

    I returned 10 min later to find that my chat had been terminated 4 min after I went to take care the problem.

    Tech #3 Robin (the most honest and helpful of the night)

    Read over my previous sessions and asked me to DC my xbox for 2 min, reboot and tell her if there were any error codes. Since I no longer have a profile on my xbox, there were no codes.

    She asked me to try and download my profile. When that failed, she said she would need to transfer me to a network tech and that she wasn't trained enough to help me with a network problem.

    <Kudos to Robin for knowing she couldn't help and transferring me to someone who might>

    Network tech #1 Mack

    Read over my previous sessions and asked me to check my xbox live connection. <SMH>

    I explain that a tracert shows I can get to ntwk.msn.net but it times out. He *says* he understands but asks me if I had received any error codes since I started having the problem. I tell him that when my profile tried to autologin I got the 8015190E
    error code. He responded that that code could be that someone else logged in with my profile and kicked me off xbox live. <stunned at his stupid response>

    I told him that was irrelevant since I was unable to connect to xbox live to log in or download my profile (for going on 7 hours now).

    He then asked if I had set up a DMZ. <beyond frustrated and getting extremely *** off now>

    I explain to him that I have worked and troubleshooted networks for over 18 years and that my previous setup was working flawlessly for months, ever since I set up my router. I tell him what router I'm using ( Netgear WNDR4500) and that I am the network
    administrator. His response was "WOW!"

    He is silent for about 3 min. I as to be transferred to the next hire level tech. Silence for another 4 min. I ask again to be transferred to a higher tier tech and he responds that it wouldn't matter, they would ask me the same things.

    He then ask me to st up a DMZ.

    I finally lost it and told him that there is nothing indicating that there is a problem with my console or hardware and to quit wasting my time by having me change settings that have been working for months. All tests indicate that there is something wrong
    with xbox live.

    He is silent for a few min and states that they are receiving alot of calls for people unable to connect to xbox live and that they are performing upgrades on the servers. He states that he wants nothing more then to be able to instantly fix my problem
    but that it is out of his control. I get even more angry at his response, because at this point I feel as if I have been lied to multiple times.

    I explain that I understand that he is not at fault for a network problem, but that mindlessly telling me to make changes in my console and router when there is a know issue with xbox live connectivity is. I tell him that the Core services status showing
    to be normal is a lie, because someone is upgrading servers and multiple customers cant connect is a disservice and tell hi to have someone at least fix that problem.

    Silence.

    After 5 min I end the chat.

    So needless to say 16 hours later, I still have no connectivity to xbox live and no profile to play offline or to even use netflix or hulu.

    SuzanneJack: I remain unable to connect, and every attempt I have made through any channels to seek assistance through Microsoft has resulted in my being referred back to the same laundry list of suggestions I have already tried multiple times. I understand
    that everyone I have dealt with is doing exactly what they've been trained to do, but it's hard not to feel the frustration and desperation of not being heard.

    Xbox 360 Suddenly Won't Connect to Xbox Live

    So i've been keeping an eye on xbl service status and on multiple occasions has there been said that the issue has been "resolved". However, since friday the 26th i am unable to log into or patch any game without my xbox simply disconnecting after a minute
    or so.

    It does this consistently for any game i open and i also cannot open my privacy and account tab.

    I can however for whatever reason stay logged in for (much) longer periods of time as long as i stay on the home tab.

    I've had an xbox and xbox live for long enough now to know this simply has nothing to do with the various (i tested this on 3 networks: 1 wired 2 wifi) networks i used to try and get online. Which all just worked fine for online gaming on my computer and
    having done several latency/ping checks from the xbox support site itself it SHOULD be working fine.

    I also started receiving the same error message a few days ago after years of connecting with no problems. I have gone through the suggested fixes but the only thing that has accomplished is for me to no longer have my profile on my Xbox. Has anyone received
    any actual useful info from Microsoft about this?
