    I'm not sure how much help I can be but I'd appreciate any ideas - it does show that it connects to the Wi-Fi, but I assume the update is what you need to be able to use Live to then get to use the actual internet, but it isn't working for me (it reaches a tiny percentage at the start and never gets any further, after a while it gives me the "Status Code" 3CD6 0000 0080 0300 8007 2746).

    I'm in the middle of trying things today, so far I've tried the X, LB, RB, X, LB, RB, X solution, removing all memory and trying to update, and then turning things off an on again (which I don't mind doing again if you think it will work), thanks so much if you can help.     I am getting a message after I run the Test Xbox LIVE Connection tool that say i have to get an update and when i say yes it says its downloading for a few seconds and then it says the update has failed

    I am getting the error code 3CD6-0000-0080-0300-8007-2751 update coming up as failed

    Grr Ive tried everything nothing has worked im about to cancel xbox live permanently this is beyond ridiculous.

    Router Brand and Model Number: Motorola SBV5122

    Wired or Wireless connection: Wireless connection I believe anyways

    Update Error Message: Status code : 3CD6-0000-0080-0300-8007-2751 Update failed etc....

    What you've tried: everything!

    Pain in the @@@ is it has a different status code EACH TIME!
