Xbox 360 Sound Issues

Recently my xbox 360 slim has developed some issues,

On the dashboard or in the guide when i move around it makes buzzing noises which is annoying when booting up then all i hear is bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz every time sometimes the buzzing is quiet and not noticeable but most of the time
all i can hear is the buzzing noise

when i played a dvd it worked fine it would play the dvd without any issues but when i went to the guide it started buzzing again which is annoying because i already had my playstation break down this month.

I have tried reformatting and swapping the hdmi cable so i think it is a system fault i know its not the tv itself since normally the sound will work fine despite its age (about 8 years old)

also there is a fault with the dvd when sometimes it will say some xbox 360 features are missing or corrupted

Greetings , try clearing your cache first , you can do so by following the steps listed here support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache . Also go to your memory
settings and look for files with a yellow exclamation mark "!" next to them , and after all this restart your Xbox ! If none of this works then you should contact Xbox customer support as your console may need to be repaired. Hopefully this helps you.

it also seems sometimes the xbox stops buzzing but i didnt delete the ! marked icons i cleared the system cache and it seemed to work for a few days until either i play a dvd and get some features on the xbox 360 have been removed or corrupt or the buzzing
starts again

Settings -> Storage. Then try the LB + RB X twice sequence I told you to remove any corrupt updates. That should fix your issues. However, if your console is making noise itself, it could very well be a hardware issue that could require service to your

I did check the audio formatting and it seems to be correct............. but its not working and the flashdrive thing doesn't work.......... I'm beginning to think I might need to either get a new AV cord or get a new xbox or send it in for repairs.

Connect XBox360 to TV may assist you.

Try the following:

Make sure that the sound isn't muted and the volume is turned up on your TV.
Make sure that the
console audio settings are correct for your combination of TV and cables.
Update your console software.

In order to help you better: How is your console connected to your audio equipment?

Is your TV providing the sound, or are you using an audio receiver?

Are you using analogue stereo (red/white RCA chinch plugs), or optical TOSLINK or HDMI for sound?

Can you check in the settings that you have the sound set to Stereo or Dolby Digital Surround and not Windows Media.
