Xbox 360 Smartglass

Is this still a thing anymore? I can no longer connect to my console. I'm logged in with the same email, online, and Smartglass is enabled in system settings. Can anyone shed some light as to why this would be happening?

I haven't heard about this issue before. Has this happened before? Is this the 1st time?

 

People have been having this issue for several months especially Windows 8.1 pc owners. I've posted on several other message boards and chatted with several support reps with no help.

 

So...Windows 8.1 essentially broke Smartglass? I can't connect to it via my Smartphone either. Unless Windows 8 is having a funky time with my account. Thanks for you great product Microsoft. I really appreciate sinking hard earned money into your products
for this 'functionality' that I never seem to get.

Investigating this? This has been an issue, apparently, since 2013. Considering pins have been broken on the Xbox 360 since 2012, I doubt that anyone is "investigating" this. Talk about losing faith in a brand I used to love. smh.

 

Hey, Irixion! Sorry about any confusion, however this was only reported to us a few weeks ago. I can assure you that the appropriate people are looking into it, and once we have more information, we'll be sure to post back in here for you guys.

If, once this particular issue is resolved, you are still having issues connecting to your Xbox 360 with your smartphone, please post back to let us know so that we can look into it further.

 

It's not with my smartphone, it's with Smartglass. On every platform. And I see topics about this on forums, including this one, from 2013.

 

Sorry for my poor wording, I did mean Smartglass on your smartphone. And while there have been several posts about this, these are the support forums and this is the appropriate place that issues with the products and apps we support should go. We don't
generally see people posting about everything working perfectly.

Like I have stated, once I have more information on this particular situation, I'll post back in here. If you are still having issues once we resolve the connection issue on the 8.1 PC devices, we'll work to get you resolved.

 

Smartglass stopped connecting to my xbox 360 on my windows 8.1 netbook about 4 months ago. I waited for an update that would fix it but its still broken.

It partially works the play to feature still isn't working. only the remote feature works.

 

The app isn't fixed completely. It took weeks of people like me calling, chatting, and posting for you guys to acknowledge that the app was broken. Yes We can now sign in and launch games from the Smartglass dashboard but the only thing working is the remote
button. NOTHING ELSE WORKS.
