xbox 360 smartglass

ok, posting this as my last resort. I bought a new desktop pc, running windows 8. smartglass app on desktop wont detect or connect to my xbox 360. i installed the app on an adroid tablet and it worked fine, all the settings on my xbox are set to allow it,
all my drivers and hardware are up to date. i spent 8+ hours a day for 6 straight days with xbox 360 customer support, and tried everything, port forwarding, power cycling, reformatting my console, and nothing worked. i cant get the app to work. any help or
advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having the same issue with Windows 8.1. It actually worked for a short time when I first got my console a few months ago. I've contacted support several times with no help. All they told me was to check connections Network test computer test reinstall
console updates. My computer and console are connecting fine. The problem is with Smartglass. Hopefully they'll figure that out and fix it. We're not the only ones with this problem.

 

The real question is, Will Smartglass work with Windows 10 when it comes out next month?

 

Im having the same issue on Windows 8.1

Smartglass works from my Android Tablet, and iPhone. Worked for a few months from my desktop but stopped about a month ago. I'm guessing it has something to do with a recent update that they haven't worked out yet. Hoping it gets patched up soon.
