Xbox 360 smartglass can't find console

xbox 360 smartglass won't connect to my console, I have logged on to both the app and the console with the same microsoft account.

They are both on the same network except my 360 is wired to the internet box.

The smartglass feature is turned on in the console settings.

Still no update on either the app or the 360.

Nothing helps and nothing works.

When will this be fixed?

Xbox is wired to modem, phone (galaxy S6 edge) was on both 2,4 and 5 gHz Wi-Fi.

so is anyone going to fix it? It's been weeks and still not working. As a last ditch effort I even bought a new modem/router to see if that would help them connect on the network

Do you have better results when you have the Xbox 360 console and your mobile device connected to the same wireless connection? Additionally, do you have a dual-band wireless router? If so, you may want to try naming the 2.4ghz and 5.0ghz networks different
names so you can identify which connection you are trying. Be sure to try both 2.4ghz and 5ghz connections to troubleshoot this!

For now, let's start with the basics by powering off your Xbox 360 console, unplugging your router and modem for 5 minutes, and then plug everything back in and try again.

 

Great advice.... for my grandma. Grab a different ticket, help desk... Bet we'd have 'better results' if we bought an Xbox One. And Andysambie, don't waste your time
unplugging your entire network. This 'issue' went into play a few days ago. Support for the 360 connection is going to be backlogged for some time, if not ended. Grab an IR app from your phones app store if your phone has the capability. Thats the best bet
for now besides an actual controller. Good luck.

i did all that, it still wont work for some reason

 

I'm having this issue too. Xbox 360 is connected to the router with ethernet cable, devices are over wi-fi, 5ghz. Nothing will connect, Windows 10 app, iPad 2 app. Application won't run on my iPhone anymore with iOS 11.
