Xbox 360 SmartGlass App gone from Windows Store?

I went to download the Xbox 360 SmartGlass App onto my Surface from the Windows Store today, and the app no longer appears to be on the store. The Xbox One SmartGlass app is there, but not the 360 one. Web links still point to the Xbox 360 app and have an
'install' button, but when you click it you are navigated to the store--with no app available.

Is this a temporary glitch, or has the Xbox 360 SmartGlass app been removed?

No more Xbox 360 Smartglass for Win 8?

Did Microsoft remove Xbox 360 Smartglass from the Windows app store? I was trying to sync my family's Xbox 360 to an HP Windows 8 laptop but I was unable to find the Smartglass app for Xbox 360.

I talk about the windows 8 version. sorry about that. It has gone from the store. 360 version is still there, but not the xbox one smartglass app.

Unfortunately that link does not work. When I click Install App it takes me to the Windows Store, but only the main page. Searching for SmartGlass brings results for only the Xbox One version.

Searching reviews for the Xbox 360 version shows a comment from another user who also states the app has been removed from the store.

try this one. found it by searching "xbox 360 smart glass" with bing! also searching for this on my Windows Phone 10 gives me the same link. searching it using the Store app on my Windows 10 PC gives me no results.

this linked posted by Mr Mascot says "available on PC". the one i linked to says for "mobile devices" and shows a tablet and phone.

 

Thank you for the link! Sadly that one only appears to be for phones; I am trying to get the app on my Surface tablet.

Indeed there is a version for Windows Phones and Windows PC. Since you're using a Surface, you're going to want to use the PC version. We've got a team looking into it and we'll check back in as soon as we have more information.

To clarify, which version of Windows are you running currently though?

I am on a Surface 2 using Windows RT 8.1 Update 3.

When I first purchased my Surface, I remember seeing both the "Xbox One SmartGlass" and "SmartGlass for Xbox 360" apps. I did not install them at the time. Now, only the One version appears to be available on the store, and the direct link from the website
does not work.

I still use my 360 regularly and would appreciate being able to use this app. Thank you!

I can confirm that the tablet is fully up to date; it is to set to automatically update each night and there are no pending updates at this time.

The link you posted several days ago just worked for me! I was able to install the 360 app with no issues now.

That said, the app still didn't show up for me when I searched for it via the store just now. Only the One version came up.
