Xbox 360 slim version 2 hard drive

Can i use an european xbox 360 hard drive (from amazon.fr) in a japanese xbox 360 slim 4 Gb?

Hard drives are region free, right ?

If yes, i can also use US version of hard drive, isn't it ?

Yes, it's the same as the Slim. The 4gb is one of the versions of the slim.

There are only 2 official MS brand hard drives for the Slim. A 250gb and 320gb. The 4gb is internal flash memory and not a hard drive which is why he needs a hard drive to play certain games. An official MS brand hard drive is required in order to play original
Xbox games and use of a non-authorized hard drive (like the 60gb) can put the console at risk for being banned.
