    xbox 360 slim turning on and off by itself.


    I've already tried wiping it down to remove any finger prints that might have been on the buttons. I've also blow it out to clear any dust that might be causing overheating issues. but yet it still turns on and off by itself. oh! and the power supply works
    fine, it comes on when its suppose to and also shuts off when the machine shuts off. it goes from yellow to green and green to yellow when it suppose to. Are there any solutions for me?

    Xbox 360 Slim Keeps Turning on and Off by itself

    To start off my xbox 360 started last month turning itself off and changing the screen resolution and after the recent Beta update the console is now turning itself on and off by itself.

    The console is a 250gb Xbox 360 Slim and I am using the Hd component cables, I have tried to use a hdmi cable and it still does the same thing.

    Have you left it unplugged for a while? If its not even turning on then its pointing towards an internal hardware issue.

    Sorry to hear you are having issues with the 360. Its no overheating is it? Make sure all the vents are clear of dust. If its not full of dust, sounds like there is a hardware issue inside the console.

    The Xbox 360 console can unexpectedly turn off under the following circumstances:

    The Auto-Off setting is enabled, and the console has been inactive for six hours.

    The console is too hot.

    There is a problem with the power supply.

    I also notice that the power button on my Xbox S can be a bit sensitive, so I would double check that nothing Is close to touching It nearby.
