Xbox 360 Slim Solid Red Light Problem

Hi, so the problem is that my Xbox 360 S now has a Solid Red Light whenever I turn it on.

The problem began after I got a game from a friend ( Assassins Creed Black Flag) (Disc Version).

The game was working ok and right as soon as I started the Single Player Campaign, I heard a noise.

It sounded like a screech or a scratch. Whatever it was, It sounded loud.

My freeze also froze when this happened.

I turned off my xbox and turned it back on and now I get a solid red light 1-2 seconds after turning it on.

My screen is also black.

I tried the methods suggested by the xbox support (Unplug cords and replug after 30 minutes)

But the problem still persist.

What do I do now?

Just to ask, how many red rings are there if it's an older console? If it's a slim, do you get a flashing red light or a solid red light?

SOLID Red Light on Power supply

Yes, I have followed all trouble shooting steps that this site offers with this problem.

Yes I replaced the power supply..same solid red light outcome..

Yes, everything is firmly plugged in..same red light problem

Yes, I tried different plugs...same red light problem

No, it's not plugged into a surge protector...same red light problem

Yes, I have unplugged everything and then back up..same red light problem

This is the original xbox 360 NOT the slim.. there is no hard-drive...

annnd no the xbox is not showing any red lights.. it will NOT cut on what so ever.

What is the problem here? it's not the power supply because i just bought a new one today.. with no fix to my problem..is the xbox? how do i fix it? No I don't have warranty so I have to do it myself.. thanks.

I had the same thing after a failed update. seems Microsoft really botched this last one. I got error screen E 71. I unplugged it for a few minutes and restarted it, and it worked, but I've completely lost access to most of my internal memory. I have
a 4GB, but I can only use 959MB now. still working with chat to hopefully resolve...

The Xbox 360 slim, as in the title.

Just the centre turning red, i get the beep, green, the the arc and it goes solid red for a couple of seconds then off.

If it's flashing red light, it's a sign that the console has overheated, if it's just solid red light, it's known as the "Red Dot of Death", which is the same as the older models of Xbox 360's "Red Ring of Death",
