    Xbox 360 Slim Red Ring of Death


    My 360 slim appears to have the red ring of death! I attempt to boot up my 360 slim, and a green light displays around the power button for a few seconds (as it should), before the lights all turn red (as it shouldn't). The Xbox doesn't connect to the TV,
    and I can't connect any controllers. I can still open and close the disk tray, but otherwise the Xbox appears to be dead. I store my Xbox in an area with plenty of room to ventilate, with the Xbox horizontal. I have tried removing the hard drive, but with
    no luck. Is there anyway I can save my Xbox, or is it well and truly dead?

    I purchased a new Xbox 360 Slim because my original Xbox got the "red rings of death." Will I still be able to to a license transfer?

    With my 360 slim, it shows the xbox 360 logo when you first turn it on then i get the red ring of death, anything i can do? it doesn't flash its just a solid ring? help please?

    For the Xbox 360 red light error, be sure to check out our Xbox 360 Red Light Troubleshooter and run through all the steps there. Unfortunately
    if none of the steps there help out, a repair or replacement is going to be your best next option.

    I am also experiencing that but on an Xbox 360 but it wont turn back on. It's not the red ring of death because there was none and because it's a 360 slim, it's plugged in and it's not hot at all!

    You don't need the hard drive but if you do, it needs to be completly in. There is a new xbox 360 slim that came out in 2011 with the kinect. With the new slim, the red ring of death is now gone. FINALLY!

    Dude, Honestly, It is worth your while to buy the Xbox 360 Slim. Its sooooooooo much better then the original Xbox 360 and the failure rate on the slim is very low compared to the original Xbox 360. The effectioncy of the slim is better and there is no overheating
    or ventilation problems which was the cause of "The Red Ring of DEATH" on the original.

    The red dot on the slim console is basically the new red ring of death.

    Your only option is to send it in for repair or buy a new console.
