    Xbox 360 Slim Red dot


    Hi so I was trying to put a disc into my disk tray and then when i pushed the button for the tray to go back in it stopped halfway and then a red dot came on the power button instead of the green dot. The disc i was trying to put in said unread multiple
    times but this is normal for that disc.

    Ive tried disconnecting cables and reconnecting and taking out my HDD and putting it back in, as soon as i turn it on it goes red.

    PLEASE HELP!!

    The solid red dot on an Xbox 360 slim usually indicates a malfunctioning component with your console. Phone Xbox support in your region or use the following address to set up a repair.

    My xbox got the "red dot of death"

    I have the 4 GB Xbox 360 Slim, it was sent in and repaired for the red dot. Will it keep happening? What was the original problem? Thanks.

    I have just replied to this other thread you commented in, but allow me to answer your specific question here.

    If the console light is red, and while powered on the power supply light is
    green, the
    power supply is at fault.

    Here is how to Order a new Xbox 360 power supply from our online service center.

    don't sent it for repairs take it back to the store you got it from most decent stores give you 30 to 90 days to return.

    The red dot seems like an Xbox 360 slim model, if it's like the same post as in this link....

    It looks like it's the Red Dot of Death, if it's a solid red dot, it's Hardware Failure as in the console has died,

    Best option would be to upgrade to an Xbox One / S / X, or to save up and wait until late November - December for the Xbox Series S / X.
