Xbox 360 Slim Red Dot (Over 1 year old)

Before anyone jumps to conclusion and tells me to replug all the crap or pull out my hard drive READ! So I bought my Xbox during November 2012 (A week after Halo 4 was released I think) and my console is months beyond its warranty so i'm paying $ now
for repairs by Microsoft. The night after I shut it off my console it was fine (I had screen freezes and game restarts every once in a while before but it was never often or bad) but the next day it refused to turn on so I replugged all my cords ,cooled off
the console, and dusted it off but after that it finally turned on but only to find out there was a solid red dot on the power button RDOD. I first thought it had something to do with the power brick because when I turned on the console and the brick always
showed the orange light no matter what, so I borrowed my pals and put it into my console but it still refused so I knew that wasn't the problem. Im starting to think I need to repair my console but before I do spend money into repairs I want some advice for
my situation. Should I repair it? (By MS or a local console repair guy) , or buy a new console if its really dead, or fix it myself. I know if I mail it in it will take MS around a month to repair and return and I read stories about it breaking after only
a few days after it coming back. Please give me any helpful advice, I am desperate because Titanfall is just around the corner and I want a good solution so I can enjoy it when it comes out. PS: Anyone who has the same problem please respond because I have
not seen this problem anywhere else (or at least I think) and I would like to see other people being helped out too.

XBOX 360 slim has a red dot in the middle of the power button.

I have xbox 360 slim just 11 months old one day in sunday i turn on i see red dot. one day later its workd monday and tuesday(bad langue) then now its red again. but in tv not showing E error.
