    XBOX 360 Slim Red Dot (no error message)


    I've had my console for a year or two and recently I have gotten into a habit of just allowing it to go off on its own, you know when it says 'your console will shutdown soon' yeah I just allow that to happen. I done this like twice in two days and now
    I have a red dot when I attempt to turn it on? I have tried taking out all the cables and putting them back in, I've also tried just taking out the HDD cable and starting it up. I have had my Xbox off for 3 days now and it will still not go on? I should also
    mention that when I turn on my console the fan will start up and stop within a second or two and also the power box light remains orange whether the console has been turned on or off.

    Any help will be greatly appreciated, but please do not tell me to try the towel trick because I'm just not going to do thatXBOX 360 Slim Red Dot (no error message) :) and again I feel I should mention there is no error message on my tv when I start up my console!

    I have a black Xbox 360 Slim which got the red dot on the console power button. The tv screen stays black. No error codes or anything is shown. The power box lights up from orange to green when I switch the console on but the console gets the red dot. Please
    help. What do I do?

    XBOX 360 slim has a red dot in the middle of the power button.

    I have xbox 360 slim just 11 months old one day in sunday i turn on i see red dot. one day later its workd monday and tuesday(bad langue) then now its red again. but in tv not showing E error.

    So as you applied all described steps from the support pages, unfortunately it seems that you will have to send your console for a repair.

    my xbox 360 turns red with an E82 error on screen......tried different HDMI and also different TV...please help
    The red dot seems like an Xbox 360 slim model, if it's like the same post as in this link....

    It looks like it's the Red Dot of Death, if it's a solid red dot, it's Hardware Failure as in the console has died,

    Best option would be to upgrade to an Xbox One / S / X, or to save up and wait until late November - December for the Xbox Series S / X.
