    Xbox 360 Slim Randomly Reboots Itself


    So, a few days ago, I was playing on it like I normally. But, then, the next day, it decides to turn off 5 after being on. I have absolutely no clue what to do. There are zero RRODs, its plugged into the wall outlet (not an extender) and all wires have been
    disconnected and reconnected and made sure that they've all been secured tightly into the system, wall and TV. The power supply has a bright green light. Also, I got my Xbox about 4 years ago, so my warranty is gone. If anyone has any idea or explanation for
    what is going on or what I should do, please let nothing hold you back from leaving an advisement. Thank you Xbox 360 Slim Randomly Reboots Itself :)

    My 250 gig Slim console is also randomly turning itself off and resetting the display options...

    Console keeps restarting?

    My console has randomly begun to restart itself after I purchased a new HDTV. I have used the XBox on a previous HDTV without any problems. But now, when im away from my xbox for like 2 minutes, it randomly reboots. I have the old white XBox.

    Have you tried contacting phone support yet? I understand your warranty is gone.

    But it definitely wouldn't hurt.

    I have the same problem. Console turns off randomly in the middle of a game. No RRD, PSU is green all the time. Incredibly frustrating, and makes games without a manual save unplayable.

    It actually did turn out to be a defective hard drive. I pulled it and ran diagnostics on it and it had numerous errors.

    Replaced the hard drive and no further errors!

    u might want pull your hard drive out and see if the problem still happening if it stop during you taking the hard drive out, than try to put it back in and make sure it sitting in there correctly and if the problem come back, then it might be your harddrive.
    but if it still happening without the harddrive, than it the console it self, taking it back to where you got it depend on how long you have it
