Xbox 360 slim, power problem?

Hi, I'm having an issue with my Xbox 360 slim (4GB).

I was playing Xbox the other day just fine, i powered off as i usually do, and went to bed.

The next day, i tried to power on the Xbox via the power button located on the front of the console. When i pressed it it, i heard the chime (beep sound) that it makes when powering on but no lights came on, no fans, and no other noises. Just the chime.
I press the disk eject button and the same thing happens, just the chime, the disk slot doesn't open, no lights come on, nothing except for the chime noise. (trying to power on using the remote does not work) Keep in my mind my Xbox has never red ringed or
had any other known issues.

I glanced at the power supply and saw that it had an orange light. I did a little bit of research on that and found out it could mean a number of things. I tried all of the things that people suggested. Unplugging all USB's or Hard drives completely, Un-plugging
all power supply pieces, and trying new outlets. Nothing seemed to work. Since the power supply was orange, i figured it could be a power supply issue. I purchased a brand new power supply the next day from Microsoft, via Amazon. It came in, I unboxed it,
plugged it into my Xbox and the power supply light is instantly orange again (on the brand new power supply). Once again it makes the chime noises when you press any buttons but never powers on. I've looked on numerous forums and youtube videos but nothing
seems to make a difference.

Is my Xbox just done for? I've had it for probably 2 years now. Both the Xbox and power supply are kept on a flat solid surface with plenty of room to breathe. They have never red ringed or made any abnormal/worrisome noises. If anyone has any suggestions
as to what could be done about this, i would greatly appreciate it.

Xbox 360 slim power supply

I have a Xbox 360 slim and the power supply is broken. I have a friend with an Xbox 360 ultra slim who can give me his power supply.

¿Can an Xbox 360 slim use the power supply of the Xbox 360 ultra slim?

Of course it is quite a bit bigger than the 360 slim, the original Xbox 360 was bigger than the slim, I'm sure it's bigger than the Xbox One slim will be too. That's the point of releasing the slim versions later on. But it is only 2.4cm longer than the original Xbox 360, which is what it should be compared to, not the revised, shrunk later released versions.

Is the power Supply itself proper connected??

unplugg all also the brick wait until light goes of try again..

Controller also connected?
