    Xbox 360 Slim freeze.


    My Xbox 360 slim keeps freezing and I do not know why it is doing this. I tried a lot of stuff like cleaning it, putting it in a better ventilated area, clearing the cach, but none seem to work. If anyone has any idea about what to do, please tell!

    80 + hours of skyrim

    3 or 4 freezes

    Xbox 360 Slim freeze.

    Sorry to hear it. Can you please try removing all storage from the console and then restart it? If it boots up fine and doesn't freeze up then put in one storage device and repeat. Keep doing this until the console freezes up again. If it does then the
    storage device is what's causing the issue and would need to be replaced.

    I've tried that idea, but it didn't work. Could their be any other solution to fix this? It freezes at the splash screen I forgot to mention.

    If it freezes at the splash screen even without the storage units in it then there is probably a hardware issue with the console that needs to be repaired.

    So my best bet would be to contact Microsoft and ask for a repair?

    If it's consistently freezing even without a storage device attached, yes.

    Yes "VagueBeast" the freezing occurs at the same spot. And im using a slim Xbox 360. I decided to delete and reinstall, and i hope that would fix the problem, if it doesn't then the xbox is likely the problem.

    And i don't have freezing on saves.

    Hey Kromecyde! My Xbox 360 Slim powers down the same way, with the fan running. I wouldn't say it's something to worry about yet! You do mention, however, that you experience freezing? Have you checked out this

    troubleshooter on screen freezing    ? Take a look and let us know how it goes! :)

    Are both console and the Power Supply in a well ventilated area? A overheating Power Supply can sometimes cause your Xbox 360 (or Xbox 360 Slim) to freeze, make sure the console and Power Supply are in a well ventilated area, if this doesn't work or both
    console and Power Supply are in a well ventilated area, try the Freezing Screen Solution in the Xbox 360 console support area, if the Freezing Screen Solution doesn't solve you problem your console may need to be repaired or replaced.
