Xbox 360 Slim disabled for unpaid subscription payments

I purchased my Xbox second hand from my cousin and it has recently started to display the message "Sorry, this console can't play until your subscription payments are up to date." Now, I'm aware that to reactivate my console, the payments just have to be
paid. My cousin bought the Xbox on November 10, 2012 under the 2-year subscription contract for Xbox Live. Would I be wrong in thinking that if I don't make any further payments and just wait, the Xbox will unlock on November 10th of this year and it would
be free of its 2-year contract? I don't have any use for going onto Live as I primarily use my Xbox as solely offline console. Would the Xbox still be locked until all the remaining months left in the contract are paid off? Would greatly appreciate any feedback.

I have an unpaid subscription payment following the expiration of my old blue card

So

I added the news and when I click on the option paid now to pay the

unpaid it does not work and this for 2 weeks, so I no longer have access

to xbox live in my account

Problems with the balance of my account.

Good evening, I recently had pre-authorized payments on my Microsoft account after buying a 1-month Xbox Live Gold subscription, while the box "renew every month" was unchecked. Then, 2 samples in a row were made for one and the same subscription.
Result: unpaid by 6 euros.

 

Yes, the console will be locked until the subscription is paid.

 

i have the same problem. microsoft told me they wrote off the balance but the non-payments are still associated with the contract. so because its in an expired state they cannot adjust the contract in order for me to pay the balance and unlock the console.
i find this to be total bs, esp after being told my console is now paper weight. does anyone have a useful solution?
