Xbox 360 Slim blinking red dot

Hello,

I actually have a problem with my xbox 360 slim. When booting, at the very beginning the led is green, then in 2 sec the led is turning into red and blinking, and the xbox shuts down. Fans are also running at full speed the entire duration.

Does anyone have an idea ? Is it like a dust accumulation problem or a motherboard issue?

my xbox 360 slims power buttion is blinking with a red dot and at the same time the fans will go full speed and then itll just turn off. itll be green for a second or two before it starts blinking red. there are no messages on the screen. is the console
dead?

I've had my Xbox 360 slim model 1439 for about 17 months and it always worked fine but recently when I turned it on it displayed a blinking red ring on the edge of the touch screen power button. It also had a red blinking dot in the center.I tried unplugging
the HDMI cord and the power supply and letting it sit in front of a fan because It was hot that day but when I tried again it still happened. I tried using a different outlet for the power supply but no avail. Please help!!!

 

Seems like that is hardware failure and I suggest you to send that console for repairs:

that is the same thing as RROD (red ring of death). before sending it in, you can do some more troubleshooting to narrow down the issue. turn on the console and when you see the red light, hold down the sync button, and press eject. there will be either
1, 2, 3, or 4 blinking lights. that will give you the first number of the error code. press eject 3 more times for the rest of the numbers. 4 counts as a zero.

so for example if you get 0011, 0012, or 0013, that means the cpu, gpu or ram is overheating. more info here:
