Xbox 360 slim 4gb w/ 320gb hdd

Ok so i got a xbox 360 roughly a month ago, ran smooth and everything was great. Then it started freezing rarely. Thinking it was due to low storage i bought a 320gb microsoft hdd for the xbox. Installed it did a clean cache to be safe. And carried on with
gaming. Well then the freezing started happening every few hours. Then down to every few minutes and now almost 85% of the time it does not get past the bootup screen.

The console position is layed down lifted on 4 jenga blocks 1 block high. *Not surronded or enclosed *

No vents are covered * even bought a external cooling fan * still no help*

When i was able to get the xbox on the main screen i did a system restore to see if that helped, which as i figured it did not help. I did a system cleaning internal hdd *4gb* and the 320gb. Still no help.

What else can i possibly do to get it to stop freezing???

P.s. right before it froze the last time. Screen went black deleted my xbox live account. So when i try to recover my account it recovers a different account. I will be canceling my membership.

Data transfer with a 4GB Slim

I currently use an Xbox 360 Elite, with a 120GB HDD, but I just purchased a new Xbox 360 Slim 4GB plus a 320GB HDD. I want to transfer my memory from the 120GB HDD to the 320GB HDD. Can I do this with the new hard drive in the Slim? I know that when I've
done transfers before I was instructed to make sure all memory cards, etc were removed because they would interfere with the memory transfer, so I was wondering if the 4GB flash memory in the Slim would mess up the transfer.

 

When does the 320GB HDD go on sale?

On a shop site they said

i have even tried removing the HDD and using only the one built in storage and same problem occurs. * this is my second account did not notice it was also signed in**

to be honest this sounds like a possible hardware failure of the console. It sounds like you already tried all steps here:

Does the console freeze on any profile?

If so then in that case you will need to request a repair for the console at
http://myservice.xbox.com it will also

 

it happens on 3 profiles 2 xbl and 1 standard for nephews. thanks i will try and see what they say about the repair process
