    Xbox 360 sign in error on Xbox One.


    I got Bioshock Infinite two days. During that time, I changed my Xbox name. After I changed my name, I tried signing in and an error message told me to download my profile to sign in. I tried to, but it wouldn't because it needs an Xbox 360 storage device.
    I have an Xbox 360, but it doesn't work. I've signed into other accounts successfully, but not with my account. If someone could please help my problem, that would be awesome.

    I fixed it.

    Go to Xbox.com and find your security settings for your profile, then find "Xbox 360 Profile Protection" and set it to require the profile to redownload the profile every time you sign in (this will also sign you off of all 360 consoles you were previously signed into).

    Since my 360 had been set up to automatically sign in, I'm thinking the Xbox One thought I was still signed in on my 360, and obviously you can't be signed in on multiple Xbox's on the same profile at the same time, so it flagged an error.

    At least that's my guess. I also cleared my Xbox 360 local data and did a console restart.

    Just follow those steps and it should hopefully be fixed.

    If I sign in to Xbox Live on my Xbox One, will I also be able to sign in on the same account on my 360 at the same time? Say someone is using the Xbox One in the living room and I'm playing my 360 in my bedroom. Will I be able to use the same account?


    WHITTEN: Yes this works! You'll be able to be signed on with the same gamertag on both an Xbox 360 and an Xbox One console at the same time. However, like today, you can only be signed into one Xbox 360 and one Xbox One at a time

    Received the same error. I can sign in no problem on the pc and xbox one. But the xbox 360 has turned into a nightmare.

    Hi Andrew,

    I'm sorry to hear this is happening. We'll be glad to assist you further with this, I do have a question I would like to clarify. Since you're attempting to play this game on the Xbox One and it's asking you to sign in to your 360 profile, do you attempt
    to download a complete different profile from the one you're signed in to the Xbox one? Reason I ask this is a common thing that happens when It prompts to have you download the profile on what appears to be the '360 dashboard' on the Xbox one you just need
    to re-download the profile you have/ are signed in on the Xbox One.

    Now, if you're trying to sign in and it is the same account for Xbox one and the 360 and it's prompting you this error code then this troubleshooting article may help further
