    Xbox 360 showing Xbox Stores Service Alert


    HI there. I was playing multiplayer games all morning and was able to chat, when I kept getting disconnected and was no longer able to chat.

    I ran a Xbox Live Connection test and am now receiving Xbox stores service alert. I am not able to maintain connection in multiplayer games and unable to chat. I then checked the Xbox site for service alerts and the only service alert showing is for Xbox
    One stating purchase and content usage limited.

    What's up that the only alert for Xbox One is affecting my playing on Xbox 360??? Any suggestions to fix would be greatly appreciated.

    Several TV/Video Apps Broken after Last Update

    Daily Motion app is also unavailable though service alert says up/running. Also current service alert says affected platform is XBox One but it is also affecting some stores purchasing on 360.

    Go to the settings of your Xbox 360.

    In the network settings do a connection test to Xbox Live.

    At what point does the connection test to Xbox Live fail?

    Do you get an error message or error code?

    Service status shows that there are no service alerts at https://support.xbox.com/xbox-live-status

    If there are service alerts in your region, then you will have to wait for it to be fixed.

    You said you're seeing this Service Alert on your Xbox 360? The current Xbox Service Status shows no issues so you are OK to switch to
    your Xbox One, however, a Service Alert should not impact switching between consoles either way.

    Hello Darx,

    You are fine, anytime you test the network and there is a service alert it will show there. There has been a service alert most of the day for Xbox 360 purchase and content. As of now the service alert is gone, but could still show when testing network.
    We recommend trying your game and if it works then you are ok. It is just letting you know what could be affecting things, is why it posts when testing network or showing in network status.
