Xbox 360 Set to Strict out of no where

Hello. I've been reading a lot about port forwarding and such, but I'm not sure if I should try any of it. The reason being that my xbox seems to have switched to strict out of no where over night. And also, my xbox one is perfectly fine and set to Open,
and I'm not sure if messing with my router will mess that up or not.

I haven't dealt with this really at all before now, if there is any info I need to add, please let me know. This is frustrating @.@

OH and also, I did speak to a Microsoft Support person who was really nice. But I'm not sure if they understood what I was asking and gave the right answer. They said the reason it's set to strict is because of an alert that only affects 360 owners. If that's
completely true, then I will just forget about this and not worry that there is something wrong with my router xD

dns problem on 1 out of 5 xbox

I myself have 3 xbox ones and 2 xbox 360 running at home with no problems I set each one on a separate manual ip address through the router seems to work ok .

I get the occasional problem where I have to reset the router becomes of strict nat issues but it' generally runs good

Please tell me it's not just me who can't get my NAT to open after trying EVERYTHING.

My NAT type is set to open on the one. I know randomly while playing the 360 and certain games it will tell me my NAT is strict. I have no clue why it used to bounce from strict to open. I always thought it was the servers from a specific game. I have
no clue on how to troubleshoot my router (gateway) if my NAT was ever set to strict on XB1

I have had this happen to me since 2 days ago. I have since reset my router, modem, reset network settings back to factory and just a few hours ago went back to open nat. I belive its MS and or xbox live servers because it told me that I had to nat error
in addition to port 3074. I had that forwarded in my router.

I do believe it is indeed on MS part then, which makes me happy lol. I was afraid it was my router or something

It might be worth clearing your cache on the xbox first of all (here's how:
support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache) and then trying to launch the game again.

Another thing I would check is that your NAT settings are not set to strict, you can check out more information on NAT settings here:
