Xbox 360 Screen Issue?

Hey everybody. So I just plugged this thing after it's collected dust for years. What is this screen I am getting? It's like a black inset covering the interface. Funnily enough, when I first boot it I can
see the normal startup screen just fine and even when I first get to the interface I can see it, before this thing suddenly pops up. I also noticed when I removed the yellow input and re-inserted, I was able to see the interface before the black screen reappears
a few secs later.

Any ideas?

I tried these unsuccessfully. When I press and hold the "ON" button, nothing happens. I also tried the hard reset technique, it didn't happen.

Do you have any idea why this screen is coming up? Usually black screen problems cover the entire screen, this screen is only covering part of the screen.
