Xbox 360 S reboots during game play

my 360 S restarts itself after about ten mins of gameplay and returns to the home screen with the little green light on power button flashing fast and the screen displaying opening in the part where it would tell you which game was inserted. If you press
the open tray button the tray opens but shuts itself again as soon as it's open. I have chatted with 3 people on Xbox chat but they haven't got a solution. Has anyone got a clue as to what is going wrong. Ps it is not overheating either

I have lock ups on the 360. I had to reboot the console at least 4 times during game play.

Xbox 360 reboots during startup

Hi there, from what you're describing it does sound like the issue is in the hard drive. Have you tried that drive in any other systems to see if you get the same error? Honestly at this point, I would recommend replacing it.

Personally i would take it in to a microsoft store and see what they say about it because who knows it could be something wrong with the console.

There are a few different things that may be causing your console to power on and off. First, be sure you're connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power strip. Power strips aren't officially supported and can cause odd power issues such as the one
you're currently experiencing.

If all is good on the power connection, be sure to run through all the steps on our page for

Xbox 360 console turns off unexpectedly. I'm afraid if none of the steps there help, then a repair is going to be your best option for your Xbox 360 console.

To set up a repair head over to our
Online Service Center and register your console.

Also they should take a look at gamers who played original xbox games on the 360 during the first year of the 360's life, not the current.

If none of the suggestions in the link above work for you then try holding the sync button in on the console, power the console on and keep the sync button pressed and see if the console then gets to the dashboard.
