    lately my power brick has be making very loud with fans struggling to work getting very hot turning off my Xbox playing less than 20 or 30 mins. be using the same brick for over 3 years should I get a replacement?

    Yes. Power bricks are forward-compatible. The oldest bricks can be used to power the final generation of original 360 console.



    360 S uses a new power brick design. It's not directly backwards compatible with original 360 systems.

    If the power bricks output is too low it will have to work harder to supply the power, make sure they both match

    To be on the safe side you should buy an official Xbox 360 Swedish power brick. They are all compatible with all Xbox 360's

    You can buy a new power brick to use which was made for Xbox 360's in Germany.

    By an adapter do you mean a non-Xbox 360 power brick, if so it is not recommended to do so as you can damage your console by using un-official equipment, especially when powering it up.

    As for where to buy one I cannot help you there unfortunately.
