    Xbox 360 S not starting up.


    Hi there

    My Xbox 360 S isn't starting up when I press the power button. Both the power button and the eject button make the ding sound they usually do when pressed, but the fan and hard drive don't operate, and the power button has no red or green lights at all.
    This continued to happen even after disconnecting both the power supply from the console and the power supply from the wall for several hours. The power supply shows a solid orange light, which I assume means the system is powered off, as it's been like that
    even when it was operational. Unplugging the power supply doesn't change its light.

    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Okay, it sounds like your console may be in need of a repair, but there's a few things we can check first just to be sure.

    First off, double check that the TV is on the correct input. Then, with the console hooked up to the display, try
    resetting video, to see if that allows any sound or video to come through.

    As for the controller, make sure you're pressing the sync buttons on both the controller and the console to establish a connection. If you are, you may want to try a wired controller, or a Plug & Play kit, just to see if that has the same issue.

    Like I said, though, it sounds like the console will likely need a repair. If none of these steps resolve your issue, then you can use
    this site to set one up, as well as check your warranty status.

    Microsoft what happened to your exclusives?

    Uncharted happened...but really the 360 only line up dried up and PS3's started to hit their stride thus 360's looked worse than it actually was.

    I'm having the same issue. My screen does not freeze though. When I start up my console there is the circle indicating it's loading and it takes almost 45 seconds to a minute to get to my dashboard. When I'm on the dashboard everything loads very fast and
    scrolling through everything takes no time at all. However when I go into a game and there is an update for it, it signs me out of live and takes some time for the game update message to appear. I don't know how to fix this, this is something new. I have a
    brand new xbox (the star wars version) and it's never done this before.

    Greetings, XxXDarkGuardian. Did any water leak into your console? If so, this could cause problems. If you are encountering screen freezes, I would recommend taking a look at this support troubleshooter titled "Screen
