XBoX 360 S Hard Drive Upgrade Issues

i have attempted to upgrade me and my friends x360 with new hard drives and neither system will recognize any of the 4 hard drives we have tried

i came to understand that as of last year ANY Laptop Hard drive up to 1tb would be able to be used just pop it in and Format

xbox hdd question

Elite versions came in 250GB/120GB HD’s only. The new “S” models have the 4GB onboard and require the “slim” hard drive upgrade; that is if by “standard” you mean Core, Pro, Arcade, Elite 360’s.

Xbox 360 E Hard Drive?

I want to get an HDD for a 4GB Xbox 360 E but all I seem to find are hard drives for the Xbox 360 S. Are Xbox 360 S hard drives compatible with the Xbox 360 E?

That's not entirely true. You can use an external USB drive up to 2TB. The actual hard drive bay would be looking for an Xbox hard drive. It's never been possible to pop in a laptop hard drive and use it without some sort of modification which would put
you at risk for being banned.

all xbox 360's have upgradable hard drives, the slims just have a different internal hdd from the old 360's.

I Have had this issue with the xbox one S Aswell when I upgraded I had found out it was a hard drive issuse however I desided to upgraded to xbox one X no issues since then

sorry I thought I replied to this again. if the console still freezes without the hard drive the issue may be with the console itself. you may need to upgrade to at least the 360 S console as the older FAT's are obsolite.

All you need is a hard drive transfer cable for $20.

Are both hard drives for the 360 S or is one for the 360 S and the other for the original xbox 360?
