Xbox 360 S Hard Drive Not Working With Xbox 360 E?

Hello! I recently bought an Xbox 360 S hard drive and was very happy that it fit right in my Xbox 360 E. I installed destiny on it and it worked flawlessly! However, the next morning I went to turn on my Xbox and I got a solid red light! I had trouble removing
the hard drive (stupid locking mechanism) but I did finally remove it. I turn on my Xbox without the hard drive and... NO PROBLEMS! Does anyone else have this issue or know how to solve it?

BTW: The hard drive is 120 Gigs... I don't know if that makes a difference.

Xbox 360 E Hard Drive?

I want to get an HDD for a 4GB Xbox 360 E but all I seem to find are hard drives for the Xbox 360 S. Are Xbox 360 S hard drives compatible with the Xbox 360 E?

250G hard drive not working

just putting in a new hard drive in my xbox 360 S and its not working upon turning it on the xbox freezes. any ideas?

As there are no official 120gb hard drives for the 360s/360e models then I suspect the issue is that you have an unofficial hard drive which will cause problems.

Those model 360's only have a 250gb,320gb & 500gb official hard drives.

All you can try is to take the hard drive back & get a refund & then buy a official Microsoft hard drive.

The XBox 360 S and E both use the same hard drive interface so you can buy a hard drive that works for an S for an E.

You can use the hard drive you have. The hard drive should work on any Xbox 360 E or S console.

Drives for Xbox 360 S will fit Xbox 360 E models.

Xbox 360 drives that mount on the side wouldn't work on the Xbox 360 E.

You don’t need a casing for the hard drive, by itself it should work.

A hard drive for the Xbox 360 s should work for the Xbox 360 e.

The hard drive I need should be one that is for the photo I sent before.
