    Xbox 360 S Hard Drive Error


    A few months ago the error E68 showed up on my Xbox 360 Slim so i bought a new disk. As it wasn't on warranty i had to by a 500gb HDD because it was the only one available in Microsoft (original is 250gb). Before i could try the new disk the power source
    broke and got a new one and now the E68 error doesn't appear any more but the 500gb disk doesn't appear on the storage device, neither does the 250gb

    I have a xbox 360 s I bought a 320gb xbox 360 internal hard. When I put the hard drive in and start my xbox i get the error code. I take it out and my xbox works fine. Does anyone know how to make the hard drive work?

    I want to get an HDD for a 4GB Xbox 360 E but all I seem to find are hard drives for the Xbox 360 S. Are Xbox 360 S hard drives compatible with the Xbox 360 E?

    All you need is a hard drive transfer cable for $20.

    Are both hard drives for the 360 S or is one for the 360 S and the other for the original xbox 360?

    no I'm on a xbox 360 S and the error code that displays is E 69 its my hard drive how can I fix it i have no usb keys and all my backups are in hard drive

    This was the suggestion for your error code on the error code list:

    A storage device (such as a memory unit or hard drive) was not found during the software update. Follow these steps:

    Turn off your console.

    Remove all console storage devices, including any USB flash drives, external hard drives or the internal hard drive on the Xbox 360 E console or Xbox 360 S console. Learn how to remove the hard drive.

    Add your primary storage device, for example, the hard drive.

    Turn on the console

    Try updating the console again.

    What sort of hard drive and console (regular or S?) are you using? Is it an official hard drive? Where did you buy it from?
